BISCAYNE BAY – The area of Stiltsville has been a defining feature of Station's area of responsibility since the 1930’s. Prior to 1992, there were 25 houses, but following Hurricane Andrew, only 7 remained.
A blaze erupted in Stiltsville, destroying one of the houses; and leaving only 6 still standing. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is currently investigating the cause of the blaze. We ask all mariners transiting the area to proceed with caution.
